What you'll do

An Opportunity to Build, Lead & Grow with a Major New Data Centre Campus We're partnering with a world-class, global data centre developer and operator on an exciting opportunity to join one of its major new developments in Norway. This is far more than a traditional Chief Engineer position. You'll be joining at the very beginning of a large-scale, multi-phase data centre campus, with the opportunity to build and lead your own engineering team, shape operational standards and play a key role in bringing the development to life. With ambitious expansion plans, this position offers exceptional long-term career potential. You'll have the backing of an established international operator, exposure to engineering teams across Europe and a genuine pathway into more senior operational leadership positions. If you're looking for an opportunity where you can make a real impact from day one, this could be your next big career move. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the engineering team, driving a culture of safety, reliability and operational excellence.
  • Oversee critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
  • Support commissioning, testing and the transition from construction into live operations.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, contractors and technical procedures.
  • Act as the senior technical escalation point, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with campus leadership to continuously improve operational efficiency and reliability.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience in data centre operations or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong electrical engineering background, including HV/LV systems, UPS, switchgear and generators.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and cooling infrastructure.
  • Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Fluent English; Norwegian language skills highly advantageous.
  • Relevant electrical switching authorisations and safety certifications.

Why Join? This is a rare chance to join a major data centre development before it becomes operational, influence how it is run and grow your career alongside a rapidly expanding campus. You'll benefit from international training and mentorship, significant leadership responsibility and an organisation with a proven track record of promoting Chief Engineers into senior management positions.
