DaDa Wan Utrecht, located in a prime location next to Utrecht Central Station, is looking for 8 Independent Chefs I to strengthen our kitchen team! For our restaurant in the vibrant heart of Utrecht, right next to Utrecht Central Station, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated chefs to join our kitchen team. What will you bring to the team as an Independent Chef I?

1. You carry out food preparation tasks, including washing vegetables, cutting and filleting salmon, and preparing lamb chops and beef for stoneplate dishes. You work alongside a kitchen team of approximately twelve colleagues under the supervision of the Head Chef.
2. You prepare and cook a variety of dishes while performing regular quality and hygiene checks in accordance with applicable guidelines.
3. You prepare dishes for service and carry out final quality checks before the dishes are served to guests by waiting staff (or robots).
4. You plan daily kitchen activities and place orders for food products and other stock replenishments with regular suppliers. You also check delivered products for quality and quantity.
5. You supervise kitchen assistants, provide instructions, and make adjustments where necessary.
6. Before closing time, you ensure your workstation is clean, clean kitchen equipment and machinery, and assist when necessary with cleaning the entire kitchen and storing delivered goods.
7. You are a true team player, flexible in your approach, and possess good communication skills.
8. You actively contribute to improving food quality, suggest ways to optimize kitchen operations, and assist in developing and updating menus, recipes, and preparation instructions.
9. Job Requirements: You have completed an MBO Level 3 culinary qualification (or equivalent) and have knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
