Cyber Defence Manager (Freelance, Swedish Speaking) Role: An established enterprise organisation in Stockholm is looking for an experienced Interim Cyber Defence Manager to step in and lead their Cyber Defence and Security Operations function during a period of parental leave cover. This is a hands on leadership role where you will own incident management, drive improvements in monitoring and detection, and keep the SOC running. Remote working available, with a Stockholm base for when you need to be on site. Real ownership of the Cyber Defence function, with the scope to improve MTTD and MTTR and leave the SOC stronger than you found it. • Lead and coordinate all Security Operations Centre (SOC) activities
• Manage cyber security incidents and drive threat investigation and follow up
• Lead the response to P1 and major security incidents, including out of hours support when required
• Support operational security teams on day to day cyber security matters
• Drive remediation of identified risks, vulnerabilities and security improvement initiatives
• Act as the cyber security SME for internal stakeholders and third party service providers
• Reduce Mean Time to Detect, Respond and Recover across Incident Response
• Enhance monitoring and threat detection coverage across the environment
• Produce clear reporting for both technical and non technical audiences

Skills/Must have:

• Fluent Swedish and English
• Extensive experience leading SOC teams and services
• Strong background in Cyber Defence, Security Operations and Incident Response
• Proven track record managing major incidents and crisis response
• Hands on with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft XDR
• Experience with Palo Alto security technologies
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, security monitoring and threat detection
• Vulnerability management and remediation programme experience
• Identity Security, including modern and non human identity security
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors and service providers
• Ability to translate technical findings into actionable business recommendations
