Cyber Security Engineer

Senior Cyber Security Engineer Location: Stockholm, Sweden, 100% On-Site Contract: 1 November 2026 – 28 February 2027 Overview We’re looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen SOC and Cyber Defense capabilities, with a focus on Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR. This is a hands-on engineering role combining technical delivery with leadership across security, platform and application teams. You will improve security tooling, detections and working processes, bringing structure to an evolving security environment. Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR capabilities.
• Onboard security telemetry, maintain log pipelines and implement security integrations.
• Build and improve detections, automation and SOC analyst workflows.
• Lead technical initiatives across Cyber Defense Engineering, SOC and supporting teams.
• Improve service ownership, platform lifecycle management, change control and monitoring.
• Maintain technical documentation, track risks and develop technical roadmaps.
• Identify gaps in existing processes and take practical improvements through to implementation.

Required Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in SOC or Cyber Defense Engineering.
• Practical expertise with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR.
• Experience in SIEM engineering, detection engineering, telemetry onboarding and log pipelines.
• Proven experience leading technical security initiatives and improving processes across teams.
• Ability to work independently at Technical Lead or Principal Engineer level.
