Customer Insight Analyst

We’re looking for a Customer Insight Analyst to join us at Telia Norway. I’m Anna Moen , Head of Analytics , and I’m looking for a curious, business-minded analyst who is eager to learn, contribute and make an impact with us. At Telia Norway, we use data, analytics and machine learning to better understand our customers, improve business performance and enable smarter decision-making across the organization. You will join our Analytics team, where we provide insights, reporting, advanced analytics and data-driven recommendations across different business areas. We collaborate closely with Commercial, Customer Value Management, Marketing, MarTech, IT and other teams. In this role, you will work closely with the business and alongside experienced analysts, data scientists and stakeholders to help teams understand customer behavior, business performance and the drivers behind commercial outcomes. You will receive support in your development while gradually taking greater responsibility for analyses, presentations and stakeholder dialogue. What you’ll do: You will bridge technology and business by combining customer analysis, data science methods, analytical thinking and clear communication to turn data and model outputs into insights, stories and decisions.

• Analyze customer and business performance to identify key drivers behind customer activity, sales, churn, usage, value and other outcomes.
• Translate business questions into structured analyses, clear recommendations and decision support, including ad hoc and recurring insight work.
• Develop machine learning models supporting customer insight, targeting, personalization and business priorities.
• Support adoption by ensuring analytical insights and models are understood, used and followed up in relevant processes and channels.
• Measure impact of initiatives, models and customer actions through structured analysis, test design and A/B testing where relevant.
• Create insight stories using clear presentations, charts, dashboards and simple narratives tailored to different audiences.
• Present findings by explaining what matters, why it matters and which actions should be considered, while contributing to discussions on business implications.
• Collaborate across business and technology to understand stakeholder needs, priorities, available data, definitions and limitations.
• Make insights actionable by bridging business context and analytical methods and supporting a data-driven culture for non-technical audiences.

What will help you thrive in this role: We are looking for a curious, business-oriented analyst with a few years of experience in analytics or data science, a strong learning mindset and motivation to grow.

• A few years of experience in analytics, customer insight, data science or similar work.
• Strong analytical skills to structure complex questions and solve business problems.
• Experience or strong interest in machine learning and applying data science methods to business questions.
• Understanding of how models and insights create measurable impact in channels and business processes.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills for presenting findings and working closely with business stakeholders.
• Interest in customer behavior, commercial performance and business drivers.

Experience that would be valuable:

• Relevant higher education in data science, statistics, economics, business analytics, mathematics, computer science or another quantitative field.
• Analytical and reporting tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau.
• Relevant analysis experience in customer, marketing, sales, churn, product or financial analysis.
• Statistical and modelling experience including segmentation, predictive modelling, experimentation, A/B testing or effect measurement.
• Machine learning experience in developing, evaluating or operationalizing models is an advantage.
• Industry experience from telecom, subscription businesses, digital services or customer analytics is an advantage, but not required.
