Global Security Job (GSJ) is a Denmark-based technology startup developing THE ARC — a secure digital platform designed for workforce verification, regulatory compliance, evidence integrity and trusted decision-making. Our ambition is to build a scalable technological foundation for security-sensitive industries, regulated organisations and potential public-authority use cases across international markets. We are looking for a hands-on Technical Co-Founder & CTO who wants to help build the technology, shape the engineering organisation and take genuine responsibility for the company's technical future. Not simply as an employee. As a technical partner with ownership, influence and a long-term vision. Where We Are Today We are beyond the initial idea stage. THE ARC already has an existing technical foundation, working software components and defined product workflows. Our current technology includes backend services, APIs, PostgreSQL/Supabase infrastructure and GitHub-based development processes. South Africa is our first priority market, where we are preparing a real-world pilot involving workforce verification, compliance, operational coordination and potential public-authority workflows. We are also exploring opportunities in India as part of our longer-term international strategy. These activities are at different stages of development and should not be understood as completed deployments or signed government contracts. We are now looking for the right technical partner to help strengthen the platform, prepare it for real-world use and establish the foundation for international growth. Your Mission: Build, Own and Lead As Technical Co-Founder & CTO, you will work directly with the founder to define and execute THE ARC's technical strategy. You will have the opportunity to:

• Take ownership of the platform's technical architecture and engineering roadmap.
• Strengthen cybersecurity, privacy, data protection and security-by-design practices.
• Develop secure, scalable backend systems, APIs and third-party integrations.
• Establish robust authentication, authorisation, tenant isolation and auditability.
• Build resilient infrastructure for security-sensitive and regulated environments.
• Develop responsible AI capabilities with appropriate safeguards against AI-related threats.
• Prepare the technology for the South Africa pilot and future international expansion.
• Establish engineering standards, automated testing, CI/CD, observability and incident-response processes.
• Make critical technical decisions that support long-term reliability, scalability and maintainability.

Your role will combine hands-on engineering, technical strategy and future organisational leadership. Build and Lead Our Future Engineering Organisation This opportunity goes beyond developing software. As the company grows and funding becomes available, you will have the opportunity to establish and lead the engineering organisation behind THE ARC. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing the long-term engineering organisation and technical leadership structure.
• Recruiting and mentoring software engineers, cybersecurity specialists, AI engineers, DevOps professionals and technical team leads.
• Building high-performing, security-conscious engineering teams across relevant international markets.
• Establishing clear technical responsibilities, development standards, accountability and a strong engineering culture.
• Identifying which technical capabilities should be developed internally and which should be supported by carefully selected external partners.
• Developing future engineering leaders and creating an organisation capable of scaling without compromising security or quality.
• Working closely with the founder on recruitment priorities, engineering budgets and strategic technology investments.
• Supporting the development of a technical organisation capable of serving customers in multiple countries and regulatory environments.

Cybersecurity & Digital Trust Protecting sensitive information, strengthening identity-related workflows and ensuring that access is strictly controlled, monitored and auditable. GovTech & Regulated Environments Designing reliable, accountable systems suitable for organisations with complex compliance, operational and information-security requirements. AI & Decision Assurance Developing responsible AI capabilities that support human decision-making while maintaining transparency, traceability and appropriate human oversight. International SaaS Infrastructure Creating a scalable core architecture that can adapt to country-specific legislation, operational requirements and approved integrations. Evidence Integrity & Traceability Ensuring that important records, actions and decisions can be documented, protected against unauthorised modification and reliably reviewed. Engineering Leadership Building the technical processes, security culture and future teams required to support a growing international technology company. These are meaningful engineering challenges where technical quality and sound judgement matter. Who We're Looking For You may already be an experienced CTO. Or you may be an exceptional senior engineer, security architect, founding engineer or technical entrepreneur ready to take the next step. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

• TypeScript, Node.js and modern backend engineering.
• PostgreSQL, Supabase and secure database architecture.
• Cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and scalable SaaS platforms.
• Application security, threat modelling and secure software development.
• Authentication, authorisation, access controls and API security.
• AI integration, AI security and responsible automation.
• GitHub, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and observability.
• GDPR, privacy engineering, audit trails or compliance-driven software.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, engineering recruitment or team development.

Experience in SecurityTech, GovTech, DefenceTech, RegTech, digital identity or critical infrastructure would be particularly valuable. You do not need to meet every technical requirement. We care about your ability to learn, solve complex problems, make responsible decisions and take ownership. We are looking for someone who can think like a CTO, build like an engineer and lead like a founder. What Makes This Opportunity Different? Equity & Compensation — Full Transparency This is an equity-only technical co-founder opportunity at the current stage.

• No salary, consulting fees or guaranteed cash compensation are currently available.
• An equity stake of up to 10% may be negotiated.
• The final ownership arrangement will depend on experience, responsibilities, contribution and agreed commitment.
• Equity will be subject to appropriate vesting, formal legal agreements and agreed milestones.
• Any future salary will depend on the company's financial position and a separate agreement.
