Critical Environment CMMS Technician

Overview As a Critical Environment CMMS Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the operational integrity of Microsoft’s datacenters by coordinating administrative, procurement, vendor and maintenance activities. You will be managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ensure that all preventive and corrective maintenance activities are accurately tracked, scheduled, and completed in alignment with compliance standards and operational protocols. You will work closely with technicians, internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure work orders, purchase orders, documentation and systems are accurately managed and completed in accordance with established processes, compliance requirements and operational standards. • Build and maintain accurate Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedules, ensuring alignment with CE standards and scope items.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all CMMS-related queries and user support.
• Provide guidance to CE Operations teams on correct CMMS usage, processes, and standards.
• Ensure consistent application of CMMS practices across the campus in alignment with regional and global requirements.
• Monitor CMMS performance to ensure data quality, consistency, compliance, and traceability.
• Report CMMS KPIs to DC management and highlight areas for improvement.
• Proactively identify and report potential risks of non-compliance or standard breaches, enabling timely mitigation and corrective actions.
• Analyze CMMS data trends to identify performance gaps, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and maintain maintenance plans within the CMMS in alignment with approved preventive maintenance strategies, ensuring all required activities are accurately configured and scheduled in the system.
• Support CE inventory management by maintaining accurate records within CMMS.
• Create, modify, and maintain asset, location, and equipment data as required.
• Manage purchase orders (POs) throughout the entire process, including reviewing and interpreting quotations, creating purchase orders, tracking progress in designated trackers, recording receipt of materials in the system, and reviewing and approving invoices.
• Monitor statistics and key performance indicators in Power BI’s to ensure compliance with internal requirements, established standards, and applicable processes.
• Ensure compliance with current standards and guidelines by staying up to date with changes and implementing new requirements in relevant systems, processes, and documentation.
• Provide administrative support to technicians, including creating and following up on support tickets and coordinating required corrections, updates, and additions to systems and processes.
• Manage the onboarding of new vendors and ensure that all required administrative activities, documentation, and system registrations are completed accurately.
• Plan third-party preventive maintenance (PM) work, including coordinating, scheduling, and following up with external vendors.
• Understands, follows, and ensures safety and security requirements (e.g., job hazard assessments [JHAs], environmental health and safety (EH&S), toolbox talks), and business processes and procedures to properly perform work in a safe, quality, and reliable within Microsoft requirements.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or equal work order systems platforms and understanding of work order lifecycle.
• Highly organized and detail oriented, with strong coordination and communication skills.
• Demonstrate a strong safety, compliance and accountability mindset, with the ability to prioritize and remain calm in a fast-paced and critical environment.
• Proactive, reliable and solution-oriented, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working with processes, documentation, data and Microsoft 365 tools, and motivated by continuous Improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Datacenter Operations or Critical Environments.
• Experience with vendor coordination and incident response.
• High School Diploma, technical trade certification (Electrician, HVAC technician, Marine Engineer), or equivalent AND mission critical services work/applied learning experience (e.g., high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields)

Critical Environment Ops ATR-B - The typical base pay range for this role across Sweden is kr 352,000.00 - kr 469,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
