Cost Control Lead

Our client is an engineering and construction contractor delivering a multi-billion, large-scale data centre development in Norway. As the programme continues to grow, they are expanding the project team across several new contracts. You'll join at a key stage, work on a complex multi-discipline scope, help shape processes and ways of working, and work directly with senior project leadership. Key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach and manage the cost control team, setting priorities and standards
• Establish and maintain consistent cost control processes, methods and reporting across contracts
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cost reports and change tracking across multiple contracts
• Act as the main cost control interface to senior project management and the client
• Ensure change orders and claims are identified, documented and supported by evidence
• Review team outputs for accuracy and quality, and step in where needed
• Support recruitment and onboarding as the team scales

Requirements:

• Substantial cost control experience, including leading or mentoring teams on major projects
• Background in data centers, oil and gas, construction or comparable complex, fast-paced project environments
• Project-based experience, with credibility on site and in the project team
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding
• Ability to build structure and routines in a developing organisation
• Right to work in Norway, and fluent English
