COO at Wyde Footwear About Wyde Wyde Footwear is one of Sweden's fastest-growing footwear brands, making anatomically correct shoes with a wide toe box. We've grown with a very lean team. Now we need someone to own the operational engine so we can keep scaling. The role You'll be Wyde's first COO and take over the full operational side of the company from the CEO. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves getting things done. As the company grows, you'll build the team under you. The handover happens step by step. The CEO stays involved in every area during a transition period, so you can take over one area at a time with full context. You'll report to the CEO and be part of the management team. We're looking for someone who wants to become a co-owner and build Wyde for real. What you'll own Purchasing and inventory • Purchase planning and orders to our production partners in Portugal and China, based on sales data and forecasts • Inventory management by size and market across two warehouses (Sweden and the US) • Supplier follow-up, lead times and delivery accuracy Finance • Cash flow and liquidity planning • Budgets, forecasts and margin tracking • Main point of contact for our external accounting firm • Reporting to the bank, board and shareholders Logistics and 3PL • Contracts and relationships with our 3PL partners in Sweden and the US • Shipping agreements and freight costs, optimizing shipping & return flows • Capacity planning ahead of launches, campaigns and peak season Compliance, customs and VAT • Customs, import VAT and DDP for non-EU markets • Extended producer responsibility and other regulatory compliance • Operational parts of our US company structure Product • Coordination between the product team, suppliers and warehouses ahead of launches Contracts, suppliers and tools • Ownership of the company's agreements with suppliers and service providers • Ongoing review and analysis of costs and tools to optimize spend Team • Employment contracts and onboarding • Structures that hold up as the team grows We're looking for someone who • Has 3 to 5+ years of experience in similar roles • Has worked in e-commerce, ideally DTC with physical products • Is strong with numbers and at home in spreadsheets • Is a doer who loves solving problems. • Communicates fluently in Swedish and English Nice to have • Based in or around Gothenburg (not a requirement) • Experience with shoes, apparel or other size-driven products • Experience with Shopify and other e-com tools • Experience expanding into international markets What we offer • A key role with a broad mandate in a fast-growing company • The opportunity to become a co-owner, either by buying into the company or through an options program • Flexible setup with Gothenburg as our base • A product that makes a real difference in peoples lives How to apply Apply below or send your CV to jobs@wydefootwear.com.
