Consultant Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Role: Consultant Senior Embedded Software Engineer Location: Stockholm, onsite Financial: 12 month contract role which can be extended. Rates: 750 – 850 SEK per hour Our partner is looking for a consultant who can combine technical leadership with hands-on Embedded Linux development. The role involves leading a Linux software team while actively contributing to software development for both new product projects and maintenance of released products. Required Skills

• 8+ years of Embedded Linux development experience.
• Strong C programming expertise.
• Linux kernel and device driver development.
• Deep knowledge of Linux-based embedded systems.
• Experience with Yocto, Git workflows, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
• Proven technical leadership and delivery coordination experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily engineering work.

Preferred Skills

• ARM-based platforms and BSP development.
• Camera, sensor, and imaging systems.
• GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Zephyr RTOS.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate an Embedded Linux software team.
• Drive technical activities, planning, and software deliveries.
• Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Track progress, manage risks, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Work closely with Program Management and cross-functional teams including Middleware, UI, Electronics, and Verification & Validation.
• Act as a senior software developer while providing technical leadership.
