What you'll do

Junior Compliance Officer Full time | Stockholm, Sweden Scandinavian Trust is growing! We are looking for a curious and structured Junior Compliance Officer to join our Group Compliance team in Stockholm, Sweden. This is a great opportunity to start or build your career in compliance within corporate services. As part of Group Compliance, you will cover our entities in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. You will work closely with our Head of Compliance and with our client-facing teams, supporting client onboarding, know-your-customer (KYC), anti-money laundering (AML) and data protection work across the group. About Scandinavian Trust Scandinavian Trust provides high-quality corporate management services across the Nordics. We help international companies with, among other things, company formation, board services, accounting, payroll, tax and compliance. Our goal is to make it easier for our clients to navigate the complex requirements of doing business in the Nordics, always with a focus on high quality and good service. What you'll be doing You will be a key player in a high-energy, hands-on team where you will quickly take responsibility for your own cases. You will work close to the business, helping to turn regulatory requirements into practical day-to-day routines and be part of a team that wants to develop the company. Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

  • Customer due diligence (KYC) on new and existing clients, including identification and verification of beneficial owners, representatives and ownership structures
  • Screening clients and related parties against sanctions and PEP lists, and assessing adverse media
  • Preparing client risk assessments and documenting findings in line with our internal procedures
  • Periodic reviews and ongoing monitoring of our client portfolio
  • Acting as a day-to-day sounding board for our client-facing teams on KYC questions and onboarding cases, so that requirements are applied consistently in practice
  • Assisting with GDPR, AML and ISO 27001-related work, among other things
  • Drafting and updating internal policies, procedures, guidelines and templates
  • Analysing new and amended regulation in the Nordics and the EU, including the new EU anti-money laundering framework, and helping to implement new requirements across the group
  • Reviewing and drafting standard agreements, such as NDAs and data processing agreements, under the guidance of experienced colleagues
  • Maintaining our contract register, compliance registers and training records, and tracking renewal and review dates
  • Assisting in carrying out due diligence on new and existing suppliers and vendors, covering ownership, sanctions screening, financial standing, information security and data protection

Who we're looking for You don't need to be an expert from day one – we will give you the training and support you need. What matters most is that you are analytical, curious and quick to get to grips with complex rules, without losing sight of business needs. You take initiative, work well both independently and in a team, and take pride in getting the details right. We value someone who can see the bigger picture behind each client, recognises when something does not add up, and knows when to escalate. You will have:

  • A university degree in law, business administration or a related field
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience, for example in compliance, KYC/AML, audit, banking or corporate services (relevant internships count)
  • A genuine interest in compliance work relating to anti-money laundering, sanctions and data protection, among other things
  • A structured and accurate way of working, with good judgement
  • Strong integrity and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in Swedish and English; knowledge of Norwegian, Finnish, Danish or other languages is an advantage.

Previous experience of AML or data protection regulation is a merit, but not a requirement – nor is experience with KYC or screening tools. Experience from a law firm, consultancy, audit firm, bank or other regulated business, or from working with international clients, would be highly valued. Why Scandinavian Trust? At Scandinavian Trust, you will get broad, hands-on exposure to compliance across four Nordic jurisdictions and a varied international client base – an excellent foundation for a career in compliance, AML or risk. We are a Nordic organisation with offices in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, supporting international companies with the corporate services they need to establish and operate businesses across the Nordics. We offer a flexible hybrid working model. We genuinely value working together, sharing knowledge and building relationships, so this is not a fully remote position. You will be part of a supportive team that invests in your professional development. Most importantly, we're looking for a great colleague who wants to learn, takes ownership and enjoys being part of a growing Nordic team. Interested? We'd love to hear from you. Send us your application and CV in English before 20 November 2026, and tell us a little about yourself, your experience and why compliance interests you. We review applications on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the deadline. If you have any questions about the position, please feel free to contact: Juan Eriksson Head of Compliance Tel. +46 76 853 53 78 juan.eriksson@scandinaviantrust.se
