Commvault Platform Operations Consultant

Assignment Description We are looking for an experienced Commvault Platform Operations Consultant to support the ongoing operation, maintenance, and optimization of the Commvault backup environment. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of the Commvault platform while providing operational support across backup, recovery, incident management, and infrastructure protection activities. This is a hands-on operational role requiring close collaboration with infrastructure and operations teams. Key Responsibilities

• Daily operation and maintenance of the Commvault backup platform
• Monitoring backup jobs and ensuring successful completion of scheduled backups
• Incident and issue management related to backup and recovery services
• Troubleshooting and resolving platform-related problems
• Supporting backup, restore, and disaster recovery activities
• Maintaining and optimizing backup policies, schedules, and retention settings
• Ensuring backup coverage across server, storage, and infrastructure environments
• Performing health checks and preventive maintenance activities
• Collaborating with internal infrastructure and operations teams
• Contributing to documentation and operational procedures
• Supporting capacity planning and platform improvements where needed

Key Requirements

• Proven experience administering and supporting Commvault Backup & Recovery environments
• Strong understanding of enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Experience with incident management and operational support in complex IT environments
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server infrastructure
• Understanding of storage technologies and enterprise infrastructure platforms
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working within financial services or highly regulated environments
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
• Experience with cloud backup solutions and hybrid infrastructures
• Familiarity with ITIL-based operational processes
