Place of work: Hellerup Deadline: 9. oktober 2026 Do you see stories where others see information? At NORDEN, we believe that great communication does more than inform. It helps customers, partners, future colleagues and industry stakeholders understand who we are, what we do and where we are heading. In a global industry shaped by complex markets, trusted relationships and constant change, communication plays a key role in building trust, deepening our brand and turning expertise into stories that people remember. This is where you come in. We are looking for a Communications and Social Media Manager who enjoys getting out in the organisation, understanding what is happening across our business and connecting the dots between our strategy, our people, our customers and the world around us. Why this role? We work in an industry that keeps global trade moving, but many of our most interesting stories never make it beyond an internal meeting, a customer conversation or a project update. As our Communications and Social Media Manager, you will change that, with the freedom to shape both the role and how those stories are told. One day, you might be turning a customer partnership into a media story. The next, you might explain a new business initiative through social content, interviewing colleagues across the globe or pitching a story to a media outlet. You will work closely with stakeholders across NORDEN to identify what is worth talking about, shape the narrative, and bring it to life through PR, media relations and social media. You will join a team of three working across external communications, social media, brand, marketing, internal communications and digital channels. We work closely together and like the rest of NORDEN, our team is collaborative, non-hierarchical and built on the belief that good ideas can come from anywhere. Your main responsibility will be to proactively identify and develop stories about NORDEN and help bring them to life through PR, social media and other relevant channels together with the rest of the communications team. What you will be doing We are looking for a communications professional who is genuinely curious and can spot opportunities, uncover the story behind them and turn them into communication that builds NORDEN’s brand. You will, among other things:

  • Develop PR and social media strategies and initiatives that support our business and strategic priorities
  • Lead stories from the first idea through stakeholder alignment, production and execution
  • Develop media plans and pitches in close collaboration with communications colleagues and work closely with relevant international and industry media
  • Own the overall content plan for NORDEN’s social channels and continuously explore new formats and ways of engaging our audiences
  • Advise leaders and colleagues on how communication can support their objectives
  • Track what works, learn from it and continuously improve our approach

What you bring Your exact background is less important to us than the toolbox and mindset you bring. You probably have around three to five years of experience. And knowledge of shipping is not a requirement. But curiosity about our business very much is. What matters is that you:

  • Are genuinely curious and enjoy understanding how businesses, markets and people connect
  • Know how to identify stories, shape narratives and adapt them to different audiences and channels
  • Bring experience working with both PR and social media as part of an integrated communications approach
  • Build trusted relationships and engage stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
  • Balance strategic thinking with practical execution and a clear sense of ownership
  • Grow in cooperative environments and engage constructively with established ways of thinking

Application Please upload your motivation letter, resume and relevant diplomas via our website as soon as possible and no later than 9 October 2026. Your motivation letter helps us understand what drives you, why you are interested in the role, and how your skills and experiences could contribute to the team. We are especially interested in your motivation and transferable skills, not a recap of your CV. It is your opportunity to tell us the story behind your application. We review and interview candidates on an ongoing basis. We will do our best to get back to you at least within ten working days after the application deadline, 9 October 2026. In NORDEN we value a range of perspectives, educational backgrounds and professional experience and encourages all qualified candidates to apply. Were you missing anything in this job ad?
