- Coordinate commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, controls, BMS, and other relevant disciplines.
- Lead and manage commissioning leads, engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and specialist vendors.
- Oversee pre-commissioning, functional testing, performance testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and final system handover.
- Ensure all building services and critical infrastructure systems are commissioned in accordance with approved procedures, design documentation, and project requirements.
- Coordinate commissioning schedules with construction, installation, quality, and project management teams to ensure systems are ready for testing.
- Monitor commissioning progress against key milestones, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage commissioning documentation, including method statements, test scripts, commissioning records, system readiness documentation, and handover packs.
- Ensure defects, outstanding works, and punch-list items are identified, tracked, and resolved within agreed timescales.
- Coordinate with the client, consultants, general contractor, commissioning management providers, and equipment manufacturers to resolve technical and programme-related issues.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with health and safety requirements, risk assessments, permit-to-work procedures, and project quality standards.
- Chair commissioning progress meetings and provide regular updates on project status, risks, resource requirements, and completion forecasts.
- Oversee system readiness reviews and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained before testing and energisation activities proceed.
- Manage commissioning resources, including manpower planning, equipment requirements, specialist support, and subcontractor performance.
- Lead the transition from construction completion through commissioning, integrated testing, and final operational handover.
- Support the preparation and delivery of project completion documentation and ensure systems are handed over in accordance with client requirements.
