Currently we are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning delivery of a state-of-the-art sustainable data centre project in Norway. Working on behalf of the General Contractor, the successful candidate will manage all commissioning activities from design review through to coordination of integrated systems testing and final handover, ensuring the facility is delivered safely, reliably and in line with client requirements. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the overall commissioning strategy, programme and execution plan.
• Lead commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, controls, and integrated systems.
• Review designs with the client, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure systems can be fully tested and operated.
• Develop commissioning plans, test scripts, procedures and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) protocols.
• Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), functional performance testing (FPT) and IST activities.
• Manage and coordinate commissioning teams, specialist vendors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate client final handover documents and activities.
• Ensure all commissioning documentation, reports and turnover packages are completed to the highest standard.

Authority:

• You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
• Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in commissioning mission-critical facilities.
• Proven track record as a Commissioning Manager on large-scale data centre projects.
• Strong experience in both mechanical and electrical commissioning.
• Demonstrated experience developing commissioning scripts, procedures, and testing methodologies.
• Experience preparing and coordinating Integrated Systems Testing and system validation programmes.
• Extensive client-facing experience, including design reviews and technical workshops.
• Experience working for a General Contractor, EPC contractor or major commissioning provider.

Technical Requirements

• Ideally, Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) system commissioning.
• Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs) and chilled water systems.
• HVAC and heat rejection systems.
• UPS, generators, MV/HV electrical systems, and critical power infrastructure.
• BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and integrated controls systems.
• Data centre resiliency and failover testing.
