Commercial Director, Germany

Germany already works. Now we want you to 10x it. We have around 35,000 active customers in Germany, up almost 50% on last year. We have proven unit economics and healthy payback on the customers we acquire. This isn’t a market waiting for its first signs of traction. It’s a strong business and one of our largest bets. Now we’re looking for the person who can take it somewhere exceptional. As Commercial Director, Germany, you’ll own growth and commercial performance in the market. You’ll decide where the next euro goes, what deserves to scale and what needs to stop. You’ll bring people across the business around the opportunities that matter most and build a clear path to 10x. We're profitable, growing fast, and our ambition is to take over Europe by 2030. Germany, one of Europe's largest consumer credit markets, is our largest bet so far. The role You'll own Germany, end to end. Not just acquisition, but the whole commercial engine: conversion through the funnel, approval rates and pricing with credit, retention, and what each customer is worth over time. You work in CAC, marginal CPA, CLTV and PBT, conversion rate and set the long-term strategy, decide where the next euro goes, and shape the product offering: which products and features to test, how to take them to market, and what not to do. You'll sit in our Growth team in Stockholm, working closely with product, credit, finance and marketing. You'll have direct reports in the market and set the direction for the specialists around you. What It Takes You start with the customer. Behind every CAC and CLTV is a person trying to get on top of their finances. You want to understand them: why they took on the debt, what worries them, and what would genuinely make their financial life better. You talk to customers, read the feedback, and let what you learn shape the product, the offer and the message. So what does it take?

• You hold the long and the short term at once. You have a clear, multi-year view of where Germany should go, and you care just as much about how this week's campaigns performed.
• You think in unit economics. You can connect a creative, a channel or a product change to its effect on CAC and CLTV. You know which customer segments are worth winning, and why they behave differently.
• You challenge the status quo. You start with a clear thesis and the business problem it solves. You think through the second-order effects, turn hunches into testable ideas, find the fastest way to prove or kill them, and act on what you learn, even when the data isn't perfect.
• You own the whole picture. Credit, finance, marketing and product all shape the German business, and you're driving the right outcomes together with each team. When something isn't working, you want to understand why, and how we move forward.

Who You Are

• You speak fluent German (a must) and English, our working language.
• You have at least 3 years in a commercial, growth, strategy or P&L role, ideally in fintech, lending or another performance-driven consumer business.
• A track record of outperforming targets. We care more about what you've achieved than how long it took.
• You're strongly analytical, comfortable building models and challenging the numbers yourself.
• You've led people or are ready to.
