Co-founders Wanted – Thermochemical Energy Storage

NOTE: THIS POSITION IS ONLY RELEVANT FOR APPLICANTS LIVING IN DENMARK OR PLANNING TO MOVE TO DENMARK. We are developing a rechargeable thermal battery for mobile defence units. The idea is simple: use waste heat from diesel vehicles or generators to charge a removable battery. The energy is stored chemically and can later be released where heat is needed. Potential uses include temporary tent heating, field showers, medical positions, hot water and food preparation. The concept builds on existing research into reversible thermochemical reactions, currently focusing on MgO/Mg(OH)₂. We are still at the idea / pre-prototype stage. We are currently exploring a research partnership with DTU and preparing an application to Defence Tech Denmark. The next step is to build and test a 5 kWh prototype, with the goal of developing a 30 kWh product for real field use. We are looking for 2 technical co-founders to build a founding team of three. Relevant backgrounds could include: Chemical Engineering • Chemistry • Materials Science • Thermochemical Energy Storage • Reactor Design We are especially interested in people who want to work hands-on with chemistry, materials, reactor design, heat transfer, prototyping and testing. Your exact background matters less than being technically strong, curious and willing to build something from scratch. This is an unpaid co-founder position. We have no funding or salaries secured yet, so you will need your own source of income to support yourself until funding is in place. I currently work a full-time job alongside developing the project, and I expect the other founders to be in a similar position during this early stage. The goal is to build a strong technical founding team, secure funding and develop the first prototype together. Once funding is secured, we aim to transition into working full-time on the company.
