Lapland Staff is looking for Christmas Operations Coordinators for the Christmas season 2026 in Ylläs and Levi.

The duties of Christmas Operations Coordinator focus on handling and organizing the daily operations for Christmas charter flight travellers. Depending on your specific role within the team, these tasks may include transportation scheduling, cooperation with tour operator personnel, supervising the active Elf Guide team and the management of bookings for our own Safaris and with external suppliers.

We require fluent English Language skills, as you will need to communicate with the whole Lapland Safaris team, tour operator personnel and international guests. Although not mandatory, knowledge of the Finnish Language would be a big advantage for this role, especially because contacting external suppliers is a common task.

In Levi and Ylläs we are looking for people to fill the following positions:

Elf Guide shift supervisors:

You will work as the supervisor for the elf team and are responsible for the smooth running of the daily Christmas operations. You will understand the many aspects of the elves' work; co-ordinate their working day transfers, monitor their shifts and that the working hour markings are correct.

The best supervisors are able to think fast, work well under pressure and can quickly react to solve problems. Situations can occur for several reasons and in short notice we need to find solutions. Willingness to jump in the elf role is advantage, as short notice replacements are often filled by supervisors. Therefore, experience of entertainment, acting or dance background, or someone who has previously worked as an elf is seen as an advantage.

Optional Sales team members:

Excursions and safaris sold by tour operator representatives to their own customers are offered as an add-on to the holiday packages of guests. These optional programs are a large part of our Christmas operations. Team members make the pre-booked reservations to ERP system and assist the reps with daily on-site sales and bookings. Daily task also includes managing allotments of excursions, communicating with suppliers and handling the liquidation of sales at the end of each day. Previous experience of working with computers and different online systems is expected and excellent knowledge of Excel. be Previous experience of working as cashier is seen as an advantage. Sales team members are expected to be precise and enthusiastic with the ability to work under pressure during hectic on-site sales times.

Data Coordinator:

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and structured processes in a fast-paced operational environment. Data Coordinator is responsible for managing and processing all operational data related to daily excursions. This includes creating accurate guest name lists, bus allocation lists and ensuring all information is correctly prepared and shared with other team members. Close collaboration with team is essential to ensure smooth daily operations. A key part of the role is maintaining and updating ERP system, including preparing data for invoicing once guest groups have returned home. Excellent computer skills are required with strong pruriency in Microsoft Excel and a high level of digital confidence. Accuracy, reliability and the ability to work independently with large amounts of information are essential for success in this role.

Activity Coordinator (Ylläs only):

As an Activity Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations during activity days ensuring smooth and well-organized experience for both guests and staff. Your role includes being on site at the activity locations, as well as coordinating specified bus arrivals and departures at Kittilä (KTT) Airport on arrival and departure days. Strong communication and group management skills are essential, as you will supervise a large team of elf guides and ensure that all activities run safely and on schedule. You will also cooperate with bus company and tour operators representatives. Your administrative work is crucial to creating a successful experience for guests.

Lapland Safaris provides new employees with paid, role-specific training at the beginning of their employment.

The employment relationship is a fixed term seasonal contract by the Collective Agreement in the Adventure Services sector .Work will start in October/November 2026and last until the beginning/mid of January 2027.Salary according to the Collective Agreement of Adventure Services grade B-C, hourly wage starting at 12,20 €(gross).Work will be done also during weekends and public holidays. Sundays and Finnish bank holidays are paid double.Accommodation is organized in shared rooms, with reasonable rent in comparison to the local price level.
