Chief Technology Officer

Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Oslo Region, with flexibility for partial work from home. The CTO will oversee the overall technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission of delivering trusted SSI-based identity services. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading software and product development, guiding architectural decisions, managing technical projects, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as product, operations, and business development. The CTO will evaluate and implement new technologies, establish best practices for security and reliability, and ensure scalability and compliance of the technology stack. The role also involves mentoring technical staff, collaborating with stakeholders and partners, and representing the technology function in executive discussions and roadmapping. Qualifications

• Strong experience in software development and product development, with the ability to guide implementation and delivery of complex digital identity solutions.
• Expertise in IT strategy and technology architecture, especially in decentralized systems, security, and scalable cloud-based platforms.
• Proven project management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Background in leading technical teams, fostering inclusive collaboration, and building high-performing engineering cultures.
• Knowledge of self-sovereign identity (SSI), digital identity standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks is highly beneficial.
• Experience in a global or multi-stakeholder environment, working with public sector, private sector, or civil society organizations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms.
• Relevant academic background in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent professional experience.
