The Chief Operating Officer converts Cypro's strategy and commercial priorities into predictable, profitable and scalable execution across the company, its cybersecurity service lines and approved product initiatives. The role provides one accountable operational owner across delivery, resources, service performance and management execution.
Key responsibilities
- Translate approved strategy into operating priorities, owners, milestones and measurable outcomes.
- Lead the company-wide operating and performance-management cadence.
- Oversee the integrated delivery portfolio across SecureLead, SecureWatch and SecureTest, resolving dependencies and escalations.
- Own resource allocation and rolling demand, capacity and skills planning, including skill gaps and hiring triggers.
- Improve delivery reliability, service quality, customer outcomes and operational scalability.
- Establish an effective sales-to-delivery handover and ensure commitments are operationally achievable.
- Work with the CFO and service owners to improve visibility of revenue, margin, utilization, backlog and forecasts.
- Support organizational development and integrate approved product and automation initiatives into operations.
Authority and key interfaces
The COO owns cross-company execution, operational prioritization, resource coordination and delivery performance. Existing accountabilities remain unchanged:
- The CEO retains responsibility for strategy, major priorities and investment decisions.
- The CFO maintains financial control and financial assurance.
- The CISO retains independent security and ISMS oversight, with direct escalation to the CEO.
- Sales and Business Development own pipeline, client relationships and commercial development.
- Service owners retain technical standards and service-specific quality accountability.
Required experience and capabilities
- Senior operational leadership in cybersecurity, technology, professional services or a comparable multi-service environment.
- Experience managing delivery portfolios, resources, capacity and competing client commitments.
- Commercial and financial understanding, including margin, utilization, backlog and forecasting.
- Strong people leadership skills, with experience improving accountability, performance and organizational capability.
- Ability to establish practical operating structures without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Sound judgement across customer delivery, quality, risk and organizational change.
- Ability to work effectively with a founder or CEO while maintaining clear accountability and constructive challenge.
- Experience in product development, innovation and AI-enabled business transformation.
