What you'll do
Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be in charge of the engine department, keeping all machinery safe, reliable, and ready for operation on every voyage.
- Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the engine room team
- Operate, monitor, and maintain main engine, auxiliaries, and all deck/engine machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure safe engine room operations and compliance with company and international regulations
- Manage spare parts, stores, bunkering, and technical reports
- Support the Master in ensuring vessel safety and pollution prevention
- Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license for seagoing vessels
- Recent experience as C/E, preferably on bulk carriers
- Strong knowledge of engine room operations and maintenance
- Good English communication skills
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
