Chief AI Officer

NeuroStrike is an Oslo-based startup building autonomous AI penetration testing. Our AI agents attack systems the way real attackers do — and prove what they find. Everything runs on sovereign Norwegian infrastructure, so customer data stays in Norway. We're scaling fast, and we're looking for a Chief AI Officer to lead the AI at the heart of the company. THE ROLE As Chief AI Officer you will own NeuroStrike's AI strategy and execution. You will set the direction for our agentic pentest engine, our open-weight model stack running on sovereign European infrastructure, and the evaluation and fine-tuning pipeline that turns every engagement into a better model. You will build and lead the AI team, work directly with the CEO & CTO on product and company strategy, and represent our AI work to customers, partners and investors. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Own the AI strategy and roadmap for our autonomous pentest engine and future AI products • Lead model selection, fine-tuning and serving of open-weight models on sovereign infrastructure • Build rigorous evaluation and benchmarking so every claimed improvement is measured • Hire, grow and lead a high-performing team of AI and research engineers • Own AI governance, safety and compliance, including the EU AI Act • Represent our AI work to customers, partners, investors and the research community WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • You must be willing and eligible to be authorised for classified information at BEGRENSET / NATO RESTRICTED level, and to undergo security clearance (sikkerhetsklarering) under the Norwegian Security Act if a customer assignment requires it. This is required due to the nature of our customers. • Senior experience leading ML or LLM teams that shipped AI systems to production • Deep hands-on understanding of LLMs, agents, evaluation and fine-tuning • A track record of turning research into reliable products • Ability to set strategy and still go deep on technical detail • Experience hiring and developing strong technical teams • Professional working proficiency in English WHAT WE OFFER • Salary: NOK 800 000 – 1 100 000 per year, depending on experience • Equity: stock options through our employee option programme, depending on experience NICE TO HAVE • Background or strong interest in offensive or defensive security • Experience with self-hosted inference and GPU infrastructure • Publications, open-source work or a visible profile in the AI community • Startup or scale-up leadership experience • Norwegian or another Scandinavian language
