What you'll do

Aino Private Island is part of SantaPark Arctic World, a hospitality and experience company with a big heart and passion for excellence. We excel in creating extraordinary experiences for our guests with our unique locations: SantaPark - Christmas Theme Park, exclusive Santa Claus Secret Forest – Joulukka, Hidden Arctic Cloud Villas, Lapland Luxury DMC, Rakas Restaurant & Bar and award-winning Arctic TreeHouse Hotel.

Our mission is to make every moment of our guests stay a lifelong memory. We also wish our team to have a great working experience and every day embark on a new adventure - creating, learning and developing with us!

Were hiring experienced Chef for unique culinary experiences in Lapland (Season 11/2026-03/2027)

We are looking for skilled and passionate chef to join our dynamic team in a beautiful and remote location of Aino Private Island. Our kitchen serves everything from breakfast and lunch to dinner, and we also host private events such as weddings and exclusive villa dinners.

At Aino, service is as discreet as the northern winds—always present, yet never intrusive. Every moment is thoughtfully shaped around the guests, creating an atmosphere of quiet care and deep consideration. Aino Private Island offers a restaurant designed in traditional Lappish architectural style, seamlessly blending the local tradition of dining around an open fire with a modern, welcoming interior. The elevated comfort food menu highlights seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, expertly crafted to capture the essence of Nordic simplicity and the comforting flavors of traditional cuisine.

Your role includes:

  • Prepare high-quality dishes from breakfast to dinner
  • Work and perform in front of the guests, including presenting dishes and plating elements at the table
  • Communicate directly with guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Participate in private and special events (weddings, private villa bookings)
  • Support your team members, help with dishwashing, and maintain a great team spirit

We are looking for:

  • 5 years or more of kitchen experience (references required)
  • Strong communication skills in English; Finnish is a plus
  • Confidence to drive an ATV or snowmobile (training provided, but willingness and courage are essential)
  • A drivers license and your own car – the location is not accessible by public transport

What to expect:

  • A small but highly skilled international kitchen team
  • Quality equipment and inspiring surroundings
  • A fun international work environment
  • Flexible working hours from Monday to Sunday with alternating days off
  • Average work hours 90 h/3 week, during the season the amount is usually higher
  • Hourly salary (+supplements, holiday compensation)
  • Collective Agreement for the Hotel, Restaurant and Leisure Industry (Sundays and official holidays are double paid in Finland)
  • Average work hours 90h/3 weeks, during the high season the amount is usually higher
  • Company benefits
  • Supported accommodation If you're enthusiastic about food, enjoy guest interaction, and love nature as much as cooking, wed love to hear from you! The position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found. So, send in your application soon!
