We are currently looking for an experienced CAE Engineering Analyst Consultant to join a vehicle safety engineering team focused on Occupant Safety and Side Impact Crash Performance. About the Assignment As a CAE Engineering Analyst, you will support the development of occupant protection systems through advanced crash simulations, injury assessments, and safety performance evaluations. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to analyze crashworthiness performance, support vehicle safety development, and contribute to achieving demanding safety targets. The role requires strong expertise in occupant simulations, restraint systems, and explicit finite element analysis. Main Responsibilities As a CAE Engineering Analyst, you will:

  • Perform advanced CAE crash simulations focused on occupant safety performance.
  • Evaluate side impact and occupant protection performance using virtual analysis methods.
  • Conduct injury assessments and safety evaluations based on simulation results.
  • Analyze crashworthiness performance and provide recommendations for design improvements.
  • Develop and maintain simulation models for occupant protection systems.
  • Support vehicle development teams with technical analyses and safety-related recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product development process.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation methods and safety assessment processes.

Required Qualifications

  • M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in CAE crashworthiness and occupant safety analysis.
  • Hands-on experience using LS-DYNA or equivalent explicit finite element solvers.
  • Experience performing occupant simulations and safety assessments.
  • Experience working with:
  • Airbag (SRS) simulation models
  • Seat belt and restraint system models
  • Strong understanding of occupant injury mechanisms and injury criteria.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience within Side Impact Safety Development.
  • Experience from automotive OEMs or vehicle safety development projects.
  • Knowledge of global crash regulations and safety rating requirements.
  • Experience with occupant protection systems and passive safety development.
  • Familiarity with advanced CAE pre- and post-processing tools.
