Buying & Sustainability Manager

STAND STUDIO is looking for a Buying & Sustainability Manager to join our team in Stockholm. Location: Stockholm, Sweden As a Buying and Sustainability Manager at STAND STUDIO you will work closely with our ambitious and dedicated design team. You will be responsible for the product supply chain, from collection start-up to production. STAND STUDIO is looking for a Buying, Production & Sustainability Manager to take overall responsibility for Buying and production coordination, while managing sustainability-related matters across the business. Working closely with our design and product development team, you will ensure that collections move smoothly through sampling, order placement, production and delivery. The role combines hands-on operational work with responsibility for timelines, supplier terms, product quality and reliable processes. The work environment at STAND STUDIO is fast-paced, dynamic and creative and every day is different from the next. You will be based at the STAND STUDIO office in Stockholm. Role description:

• Lead the buying and product process, ensuring collections meet agreed targets for quality, cost, margin and delivery
• Overall responsibility for the product, from collection start-up to production, is in our warehouse
• Own and maintain the overall design and production calendar, including collection schedules, communicating priorities and resolving issues across teams.
• Negotiate prices, production terms and supplier agreements to achieve target margins and build strong, long-term partnerships.
• Making sure deadlines are met and clearly communicated to cross-functional teams
• Work closely with the design team to translate creative concepts into commercially viable products
• Oversee order placement and ensure quantities, prices and conditions are accurate.
• Ensure appropriate product testing and quality controls throughout development and production.
• Delivery monitoring; responsibility for all deliveries being sent according to the set time, both samples and bulk production
• Follow-up and analysis.
• Analyse supplier performance, purchasing results and margins, and drive improvements.
• Lead and develop sustainability initiatives within purchasing, product development and production.
• Collect, maintain and assess supplier documentation, material information and relevant certifications.
• Monitor supplier compliance, identify risks and follow up on corrective actions.
• Track progress against sustainability targets and provide reliable data for internal reporting and external communication.
• Stay informed about relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements, coordinating their implementation with colleagues and external specialists where needed.
• Supplier visits and necessary production trips

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of experience as a Buyer, preferable
• Solid experience in purchasing and product development within fashion, with responsibility for suppliers, negotiations and production.
• Strong commercial understanding and confidence managing costs, margins and supplier performance.
• Ability to take ownership, set priorities and drive both operational work and longer-term improvements.
• A structured, analytical and detail-oriented approach, with strong planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Experience working with MS Office and PLM systems; knowledge of Delogue and Business Central is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English
