You'll work alongside colleagues across procurement, engineering, project management, and operations, helping to build strong supplier partnerships and deliver successful projects across the region. Your Future Role As a Buyer, you'll be a trusted procurement partner for projects and stakeholders across the business. You'll lead sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, and support strategic purchasing decisions within a critical commodity scope. A significant focus of this role is the management and sourcing of suppliers within Electronic Manufacturing Subcontracting and Electrical Integrator categories. Experience within these areas is highly valued as they play an important role in supporting Alstom's projects and long-term growth in the Nordic market. Working closely with Project Procurement Managers, Commodity Managers, Engineers, and Suppliers, you'll help ensure the right suppliers are selected, relationships are developed, and procurement activities are delivered efficiently and professionally. What You'll Do

  • Lead sourcing activities and supplier selection processes for project-related procurement needs.
  • Analyse procurement data, forecasts, spend reports, and market trends to support sourcing decisions.
  • Prepare, launch, and manage RFQs, supplier evaluations, TCO analysis and commercial negotiations.
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, electrical integrators, and other strategic partners.
  • Support supplier performance management across Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Technology (QCDT) objectives.
  • Collaborate with Project &Tender Procurement Managers and Global Commodity Managers to execute sourcing strategies.
  • Identify, assess, and help mitigate supplier risks while supporting issue resolution and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work closely with engineering, project, quality, finance and operational teams to support project delivery.
  • Contribute to commodity strategies through market insights, supplier knowledge, and sourcing expertise.
  • Lead procurement activities from RFQ through supplier selection, nomination, contracting, and order placement.
  • Promote ethical, sustainable, and compliant procurement practices in line with Alstom values and standards.

  • We're particularly interested in candidates who bring:
  • Experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Commodity Management, Supplier Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Electronics Manufacturing Subcontracting, contract manufacturers, electrical systems, electrical integrators, industrial automation suppliers, or similar technical procurement categories.
  • Experience managing RFQs, supplier evaluations, sourcing activities, commercial negotiations and contract management.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier relationship management.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or industrial commodities.
  • Experience working with suppliers to improve quality, cost, delivery, and overall performance.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders from different functions and backgrounds.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, structured, and solution-oriented approach to delivering effective results.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP and MS Office tools.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • Experience within rail, transportation, manufacturing, industrial automation, energy, infrastructure, or electrical equipment industries.
  • Knowledge of the Nordic and EU supplier landscape.
  • Experience working in project-based or matrix organizations.
  • Danish language skills.

Educational Background A degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline is welcomed.
