Role snapshot
BI Developer - Power BI, Data & Business Insights Stockholm | Hybrid | Power BI | Swedish-speaking What if your next BI role gave you the opportunity to do more than build dashboards? We're working with a well-established, privately owned international business group that is investing in data and digitalisation to support its continued growth. With operations spanning multiple industrial markets, the organisation combines the stability and resources of a long-standing group with an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuinely long-term approach to building successful businesses. They're now looking for a BI Developer to help turn data into meaningful insights, make information more accessible and enable better decision-making across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of Business Intelligence but also wants to understand the bigger picture: how people use data, what decisions they're trying to make, and how the right reporting solutions can make a real difference. You'll work closely with stakeholders, get involved in the full process from understanding requirements through to delivering and supporting BI solutions, and have the opportunity to help shape how data is used across the organisation. And with data playing an increasingly important role in the group's development, there's plenty of scope to grow your skills and get involved in what comes next. The role: Where data meets business You'll sit at the intersection of data, technology and business decision-making, developing reporting and analytical solutions that help people understand performance, identify opportunities and make more informed decisions. Rather than simply receiving a specification and building a dashboard, you'll work directly with the people using the data. You'll understand their challenges, ask the right questions and translate business needs into practical, well-designed BI solutions. Your work will involve developing dashboards and reports, creating meaningful data models and making sure the information being presented is clear, reliable and genuinely useful. You'll also help users get the most out of the solutions you build, explaining insights, providing guidance and supporting people in becoming more confident working with data. It's an opportunity to combine analytical thinking, technical development and stakeholder interaction in a role where you can see the value of what you deliver. What you'll be working on

What's most important is that you have a solid grounding in BI, enjoy working with data and can translate analytical requirements into solutions that people can actually use. Who are they looking for? This role would suit an early-career BI Developer or BI Analyst who's ready to build on their experience and take on more responsibility. You might have:
Experience gained within a business-facing role, such as supply chain, procurement, operations or another commercial function, could be particularly useful. So could experience in consultancy or an internal BI team where you've worked closely with different departments. Exposure to data warehousing, Microsoft analytics technologies, AI or machine learning would be a bonus. You don't need to be an expert in every area. They're looking for someone with a solid foundation who is curious, commercially minded and keen to develop. The sweet spot is someone who enjoys both the technical work and the conversations that help make that work valuable. Why consider this opportunity?
