Business Development Manager

We are looking for two commercially driven and strategically minded Business Development Managers to support the profitable growth and long-term competitiveness of our sawmill business. You will play a key role in maximizing the value of our product portfolio by connecting market opportunities, customer needs, and production capabilities into profitable business decisions. In this role, you will be at the center of product portfolio development, market expansion, value optimization, and business performance improvement. Working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Mill Management, Production, and other key stakeholders, you will help ensure that our products are directed to the right markets, customers, and applications to maximize value creation. The role can be located in any of the Stora Enso sites in Finland. Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategic and tactical development of the sawmill product portfolio
• Identify opportunities to optimize product mix, market allocation, and value realization
• Evaluate and develop new market opportunities, customer segments, and business initiatives
• Support the commercialization of new products and value-added solutions
• Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and profitability drivers
• Develop recommendations that improve commercial performance and business profitability
• Collaborate closely with Sales teams to identify growth opportunities and strengthen market positioning
• Work with mill organizations to align production capabilities with market opportunities
• Lead and participate in cross-functional business development projects

Build business cases and support decision-making through data-driven analysis - Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a commercially driven and analytically minded professional who combines strategic thinking with a practical approach to business development. To succeed in this role, you have:

• Experience in business development, sales, product management, supply chain, commercial management, or a similar business-oriented role.
• Good understanding of the forest industry, wood products business, or other industrial B2B environments.
• Strong commercial mindset and understanding of value creation and profitability drivers across the value chain.
• Experience in analyzing business performance and identifying opportunities for growth and value optimization.
• Ability to work effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
