What you'll do

Job Requirements Business Development Manager-Norway Location: Norway, with the ability to travel and visit our sites and customers on a regular basis (Haugesund, Larvik, Moss and Brumunddal) Introduction Lineage is one of the world’s largest and most innovative provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions with more than 25,000 employees across over 400 locations and spanning 20 countries across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and South America. Working at Lineage is an opportunity to innovate and put your mark on how food moves from the farm to dinner tables around the world. The Role To support our expansion, we are looking for a Business Development Manager that is driven, eager to win and grow new and existing accounts across our sites in Norway. We already have circa 100 customers but are looking to expand within our food sector and our customers come from a variety of areas within e.g. bakery, meat, seafood and dairy. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to travel weekly, mostly within Norway to meet new customers as well as existing ones. A large focus in this role will be to continue the success of the European BD team and generate new leads and converting them into new customers. Responsibilities About you:

  • Build long-term relationships with leading food businesses
  • Spot opportunities and shape solutions for customers
  • Manage the full sales process from first contact to proposal
  • Represent a brand trusted by large customers worldwide
  • Maintaining proactive contact with prospect customers – arranging meetings and keeping in touch – whilst updating records in our sales database
  • Dealing with inbound sales queries from potential customers
  • Creating individually tailored proposals for prospect customers, in line with their specific storage, distribution and ancillary service requirements
  • Demonstrate a strong ambition to achieve the growth objectives set by the company's strategic direction
  • Collaborate with BD teams in different European regions to ensure compliance with company policies and financial requirements.
  • Work on managing multiple sales projects and ensure their successful completion.

Who We’re Looking For We can teach you about our business; but you will be a proactive person who's naturally inquisitive. If you like to ask questions and get energy from building productive relationships with people; then this is a role you will enjoy. We are well known in our industry; and customers are often aware of the value of our services; but this is a relationship driven industry and you will enjoy getting to know potential customers and building longstanding relationships with them. To Thrive In This Role, You'll Ideally Need

  • A proven ability to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with prospective customers and actively grow the market
  • Business to business, face to face sales experience.
  • Experience of working towards individual targets
  • Experience of building generating sales leads and converting them into customers
  • It would be great if you had previous experience within the food chain and might have worked in Freight forwarding, the transport sector or logistics.
  • Previous experience working in Salesforce would be useful

What's in it for me? Aside from a competitive starting salary, you're set to gain so much from being part of a high quality and collaborative team. You will get lots of autonomy to own your work; you will work with a supportive manager who will help to develop your professional skills, but you will spend every day using your subject matter expertise to solve business problems. We are a global company which is expanding quickly across Europe. You will feel the impact of your work as the ‘tip of the spear’, playing a critical role in realising our purpose of transforming the supply-chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world. To support our growth, our leadership culture focuses us on developing talent internally and this is a great opportunity to nurture your career in a leading global company.
