The Position As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives across the Hydroscand Group. Working closely with senior management and with strong backing from the CEO and CFO, you will contribute to the development and execution of projects that strengthen our market position, improve performance, and create long-term value. The role spans a wide range of areas, including strategic project, M&A, business analysis, and commercial development. You will collaborate with colleagues across the organization and support decision-making through data-driven insights, structured problem-solving, and a strong understanding of business dynamics. You will monitor market developments, customer needs, industry trends, and technological developments to identify opportunities and risks for the Group. Through market and industry research, you will provide insights into how our markets are evolving and also help assess how digitalization, AI, and new technologies can support Hydroscand's future growth, competitiveness, and operational excellence. The Business Development function combines strategic thinking with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving. Drawing on experience and proven ways of working from leading management consulting firms, the function supports strategic decision-making and drives initiatives that contribute to Hydroscand's continued growth and development. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the future development of one of the leading providers of hydraulic and industrial fluid transfer solutions. Background and Experience We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical capabilities and a genuine interest in business development, strategy, and value creation. You hold a university degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Previous experience from management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, or other analytical and commercially oriented roles is considered a strong advantage. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and are comfortable working with large amounts of information to develop insights and recommendations. Professional proficiency in English is required, and additional languages are considered an advantage. Personal Characteristics To succeed in this role, you combine strong analytical capabilities with a proactive and hands-on approach. You are intellectually curious and enjoy understanding complex business challenges, market developments, and emerging trends. You are highly structured, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues across different functions, countries, and levels of the organization. You are an effective communicator with the ability to present insights and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner. In addition, you have a genuine interest in digitalization and emerging technologies and are motivated by identifying new ways in which technology can create value for the business.
