Role Description The Business Development Intern will support growth initiatives by identifying potential partners, prospects, and new market opportunities for SMAQO. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, assisting with lead generation, maintaining prospect databases, and preparing presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders. The intern will help coordinate meetings, support customer-facing activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and product development. This is a full-time on-site role based in Gothenburg, where the intern will work closely with the business development team and contribute to SMAQO’s expansion strategy. Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, assess market trends, and support decision-making.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to engage prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience or interest in lead generation and basic sales processes to support pipeline development.
  • Ability to conduct structured market research and summarize findings clearly.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM systems is a plus).
  • Motivation to learn about business development in the food or FMCG sector; prior internship experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are an advantage.
