Business Development Analyst Intern

Our End User team within PBS (Project Business Sales) works to identify and win large lighting projects across the markets we operate in and we want to strengthen this work with sharper, more systematic market and opportunity intelligence. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented part-time Business Development Analyst Intern to help us build a structured, scalable way of spotting and tracking the biggest potential opportunities for Glamox. The role is expected to take approximately one day per week, with flexibility around holidays and exam periods, and the possibility of more by agreement with your manager. This is an entry-level position for students interested in market analysis, business development, and data-driven ways of working, and it offers real ownership: you will not just deliver an analysis once, you will help design the process that keeps delivering it. The role reports to the End User Team Lead in PBS and is based at our HQ in Oslo. What you'll do

• Analyse the markets Glamox operates in to identify trends, growth areas, and where large project opportunities are likely to emerge.
• Build and maintain a running list of large project opportunities, combining public information (tenders, planning/building permits, construction news, industry press) with data from paid opportunity and tender databases.
• Qualify and prioritise opportunities so the End User team can focus on the projects with the biggest potential for Glamox.
• Design and document a repeatable process for sourcing, cleaning, merging, and updating this opportunity data – including the system integrations needed (e.g. APIs, exports, data feeds from opportunity databases) – so the service can eventually run with minimal manual effort.
• Work with the End User team, sales, and IT/data stakeholders to pilot and roll out this process as an ongoing, semi-automated service for the wider team.
• Prepare clear reports, opportunity lists, and presentations summarising findings for the team and management.
• Support other business development and strategy projects within PBS as needed.

Who you are

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (3rd year) or Master's programme in Business, Economics, Data/Analytics, or a related field, with strong academic results so far.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to work with, clean, and combine data from multiple sources.
• Experience with Excel and Power BI is an advantage; interest or experience in automation, APIs, or tools like Power Automate/Python/SQL is a strong plus given the process-and-integration nature of this role.
• A structured, process-oriented mindset – someone who enjoys turning a manual task into a repeatable workflow, not just doing the analysis once.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and a Scandinavian language.
• The right to live and work in Norway.
• Interest in construction, real estate, or B2B project markets is a plus.
