Branch Accountant

At Saipem, your expertise helps shape the future globally for environmental sustainability. Purpose of the position: As Branch Accountant, you will report to the Branch Chief Accountant. You will be part of our BECCS project (full-scale Bio-Energy Carbon Capture and Storage) for the Business Line ENCAR. You will liaise with the project team, the Branch office in Amsterdam and the Head Office in Milan to ensure the accounting activities are correctly carried out. You will support the accounting processes and financial & administrative activities. How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting activities and bookkeeping in SAP;
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities;
• Assist in the preparation of local statutory reporting packages and financial statements;
• Support VAT compliance activities and related reconciliations;
• Prepare documentation and schedules required for audits and internal reviews;
• Liaise with project personnel, local stakeholders, service providers and Head Office functions;
• Support general administrative and finance-related activities required for the execution of the project.
• Collaborate with local consultants and local authorities when needed.

What are we looking for?

• Education: diploma in Economics studies
• Experience: 3-5 years as accountant, AFC generalist or external auditor in a consulting firm
• Languages: good Swedish, excellent English
• Technical skills: local GAAP; IFRS principles
• IT skills: SAP is a plus
