About DANSIC DANSIC is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organisation aimed at fostering social innovation and entrepreneurship. We bring together students, social entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to develop solutions for social and environmental challenges. Our mission is to inspire the development of sustainable social enterprises and engage with leaders across all sectors. About the roles Please note: This is a volunteering position We especially encourage students and recent graduates to apply We’re looking for 4 new Board Members to join us in making a difference. Every year, the board of DANSIC comes together to decide on an exciting project for the year ahead. As part of the board, you’ll play an active role in shaping the direction of this project and supporting the activities that bring it to life. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your ideas, skills, and energy to create real impact in collaboration with a dedicated team. The work of the board is diverse, and so are we. Therefore, we encourage people from different backgrounds to apply. No matter where you come from, whether you are a student or a recent graduate, a social scientist or a technical nerd, if you have the motivation, don’t hesitate to apply! Specialisations and key responsibilities Marketing and Communication Specialist

  • Find partners to team up with and coordinate communication with them
  • Oversee marketing strategies and social media engagement
  • Keep our email and social media inboxes from becoming pure chaos :)

Project and Events Specialist

  • Help organise and oversee events, workshops, or activities connected to the project
  • Keep track of the project’s scope and timeline
  • Make sure the project and its activities are ambitious, but also feasible

People and Culture Specialist

  • Coordinate hiring new volunteers to ensure the project can run smoothly
  • Oversee volunteers’ workload and well-being - we don’t want anyone burning out!
  • Make sure volunteers have a chance to contribute, learn what they are interested in, and get the support they need
  • Make sure everyone is not only working, but also having fun :)

Finance specialist

  • Keep track of DANSIC’s finances and help us budget for events and projects
  • Assist in fundraising efforts and securing sponsorships
  • Ensure DANSIC complies with governance standards, following internal by-laws and legal obligations
  • Collaborate with other board members to establish organisational goals

And what do you need to become a part of the board?

  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Communication and team-leading skills
  • Eager to learn new things
  • A genuine interest in social innovation and sustainability
  • Ability to commit approximately 5-6 hours per week to DANSIC activities (fluctuating workload depending on the season)
