BMS Package Lead

BMS Package Manager – Data Centre Construction Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full BMS package lifecycle, from design review through installation, commissioning, testing and final handover.
• Coordinate BMS subcontractors, vendors and specialist suppliers.
• Review technical submittals, RFIs, method statements and technical drawings.
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications, contractual requirements and relevant industry standards.
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, CSA and Commissioning teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Monitor programme milestones and drive subcontractor performance to meet project deadlines.
• Lead package coordination meetings and manage communication with key project stakeholders.
• Track progress, identify potential risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Support commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST) and client demonstrations.
• Oversee QA/QC documentation, O&M manuals, system training and final handover requirements.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the project.

Requirements

• Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Automation, Controls Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience delivering BMS or Controls packages on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience within data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial or other mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Siemens, Schneider, Trend, Honeywell, Johnson Controls or similar.
• Understanding of HVAC controls, electrical systems, network architecture and integrated building technologies.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple workstreams.
• Strong planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against challenging project deadlines.

• Successful delivery of the BMS package in line with the project programme.
• Completion of installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Successful integrated systems testing.
• Completion of quality documentation and outstanding snagging.
• Successful client sign-off and final package handover.
