Job Summary: We are looking for a Battery Software Engineer with strong experience in battery software, energy management, charging and control systems within the automotive sector. The role involves system design, model-based development, requirements engineering, calibration and data analysis, with a strong focus on high-voltage battery systems, control algorithms, state-of-charge estimation and energy optimisation Educational Qualification: Master’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Key Responsibilities:
- Core Engineering & Calibration: Develop, model (MATLAB/Simulink), calibrate, and optimize high-voltage battery software functions, control algorithms, and charging systems using data analysis and relevant tools.
- Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure adherence to ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards while collaborating cross-functionally with software, systems, and testing teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience involving battery software, energy management, charging or control systems.
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink for model-based development.
- Experience with INCA and CANalyzer.
- Experience with Vector tools and automotive communication/measurement environments.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
- Strong in system design, model-based development, requirements, calibration and data analysis.
- Knowledge of control algorithms, HV battery systems, power management, charging, SoC estimation and energy optimisation.
- Automotive product development experience with ASPICE and ISO 26262.
- High-voltage electrical safety certification Meritorious.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and structured approach to development, calibration and data analysis.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills within multidisciplinary automotive teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
