Backend Developer

AI / Backend Developer Oslo, Norway | Full-Time We are seeking an ambitious AI / Backend Developer to join a fast-growing technology company at the forefront of AI-driven product development. Working within a highly collaborative engineering team, you will contribute to the development of scalable backend systems, AI-powered products, and data-driven solutions that support continued growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build and deploy AI and machine learning solutions into production environments.
• Develop integrations with internal and external systems to support business operations.
• Optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Work closely with product, engineering, and commercial stakeholders to deliver high-impact features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
• Explore and implement emerging AI technologies to drive product innovation.

Required Experience

• Commercial experience in backend software development.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with exposure to Node.js or Go considered advantageous.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks, LLMs, or modern AI tooling is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to ownership.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience building data pipelines and distributed systems.
• Understanding of modern software architecture and microservices.
