About the Role We are looking for an experienced Automotive Data Engineer / Data Scientist to transform vehicle telemetry, diagnostic, battery, propulsion, and software-installation data into actionable insights. You will work closely with engineering, product, and software teams to build scalable data pipelines, develop analytical and machine-learning solutions, and deliver data-driven insights that improve vehicle performance, product quality, and customer experience. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for vehicle telemetry, diagnostics, software installations, and fleet data.
• Analyse large datasets to identify anomalies, product issues, quality trends, and customer-impacting patterns.
• Develop statistical models, machine-learning solutions, and time-series analytics.
• Build interactive dashboards and visualisations for engineering and product teams.
• Develop efficient data-processing solutions using Python, SQL, PySpark, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Design and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and data-quality frameworks.
• Work with cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and modern data engineering technologies.
• Implement automation, monitoring, data observability, and continuous quality-feedback mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and engineering requirements into data-driven solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with PySpark, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Polars, or similar libraries.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and designing data models.
• Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
• Familiarity with Git, Linux, REST APIs, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the automotive domain, including vehicle signals, diagnostics, UDS, OTA updates, battery analytics, or propulsion systems.
• Knowledge of machine learning, time-series analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Experience with dbt, Azure DevOps, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Power BI DAX.
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript for analytics-facing applications.
