OPEN CALL FOR AN ARTISTIC DIRECTOR – Mad House Helsinki & Reality Research Center

Mad House Helsinki and Reality Research Center are merging to create a new organisation for performance and live art. We are seeking an Artistic Director to develop the organisation's artistic vision, programme and activities.

The new organisation will produce a year-round programme consisting of stage productions, site-specific works and other forms of performance and live art. Based at Tekstin talo (House of Text) in Helsinki, we have access to our own stage for part of the year.

As Artistic Director, you will be responsible for the organisations artistic direction, curation and artist relations, as well as developing national and international networks alongside the Managing Director and the rest of the team. You will lead programme planning and contribute to the organisations funding, communications and strategic development.

We are looking for an experienced professional in the field of performance and live art with a strong curatorial and artistic vision, experience in artistic programming, and the ability to help develop a new organisation together with the team. Excellent English-language skills are required for the position. Knowledge of Finnish and Swedish is considered an asset.
