App Test Engineer

App Test Engineer | Mobile Testing, Appium & Python We are looking for an experienced App Test Engineer to support the quality and continuous development of mobile applications. The role combines mobile test automation and hands-on exploratory testing, working closely with software engineers throughout agile feature development. Location: Malmo, Sweden Contract Duration: 4 months + extensions Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and troubleshoot mobile test automation using Appium, pytest and Python.
• Perform hands-on manual and exploratory testing of mobile applications.
• Test across different devices, operating systems, permissions, connectivity conditions and app states.
• Analyse backlog items, acceptance criteria, user flows and designs to determine appropriate test coverage.
• Assess testing priorities based on risk, customer impact, scope and feature maturity.
• Test incomplete and evolving feature increments throughout agile development.
• Identify, document and communicate defects and follow them through to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers and challenge assumptions around expected application behaviour.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Appium and pytest for mobile test automation.
• Strong Python test automation skills, including reusable and maintainable test code.
• Proven experience with manual mobile application testing.
• Strong exploratory testing capabilities.
• Good understanding of mobile-specific testing across devices, OS versions, permissions, connectivity, interruptions and app states.
• Experience translating acceptance criteria, user flows and technical dependencies into effective test coverage.
• Strong defect investigation, documentation and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in an Agile product development environment.
