We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join the team in Stockholm. About The Team We are proud of our ability to combine technical expertise with sound business sense. Our team is composed of Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that enables us to manage data end to end – from optimizing data pipelines to developing user-friendly models for analysis. Our technology stack includes BigQuery (SQL), Looker, dbt™, and Google Cloud Platform, with opportunities to evaluate and introduce new technologies as we scale. About The Role As an Analytics Engineer, you'll work with developing data capabilities that power decisions across our global organization. You'll have significant technical and organizational impact, driving both immediate solutions and long-term strategic initiatives. Examples Of Responsibilities

• Develop data transformation steps and build a strong data modeling foundation for enabling self-service analytics across the company.
• Build and maintain trusting, working relationships with business partners across domains and discover high-impact opportunities to enable self-service analytics in our semantic layer.
• Strategically plan and deliver meaningful projects to increase data literacy at Storytel.
• Lead the resolution of critical data issues, establishing monitoring systems and best practices to prevent future problems and improve data reliability.
• Collaborate with data practitioners to understand their needs and requirements, breaking down complicated technical concepts to fit the audience.
• Drive adoption of technical best practices across the data team, mentoring others and bringing in industry innovations that improve how we work.

We believe that you have

• Experience with creating and maintaining semantic layers.
• Experience in working with data (BI/Analytics/Data Engineering) specializing within Analytics Engineering.
• Deep expertise in SQL and data modeling and extensive experience with modern data stack technologies (e.g., dbt™, Looker, BigQuery, or equivalent tools).
• The ability to consistently deliver performant, accurate, and scalable solutions.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and driving team-wide technical improvements.
• Proven ability to lead complex data projects, solve problems independently, and proactively improve products.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences.
• The ability to thrive in a feedback culture and constantly strive to improve your own skills and knowledge.
