What you'll do

About the role

In this role, you will be the analytical backbone for senior commercial leads and project managers across high-stakes energy deals. Your day-to-day focus will center on hands-on quantitative work, building and running diverse Excel models for investment calculations, deal valuations, and complex partnership structures. You will analyze broad commercial cases - ranging from long-term PPAs and joint ventures to corporate structures and M&A activities and translate your findings into clear presentations for decision-makers. Rather than working in a static setup, you will navigate a fast-moving, agile environment where project priorities evolve quickly. This position is an ideal next step for an ambitious analyst with some experience from transaction advisory, investment banking, or consulting who enjoys quantitative modeling and wants to apply their skills directly inside an industry leader.

Work tasks

This role focuses on providing quantitative support and financial modeling for large-scale energy projects and strategic business developments.

  • Supporting senior leads on large-scale customer and partnership deals
  • Building detailed Excel models for investment calculations, valuations and contract structures
  • Performing market and corporate finance analysis for joint ventures and M&A projects
  • Turning quantitative data into clear slides and presentations for management and clients
  • Utilizing AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to speed up analysis and reporting

We are looking for

  • University degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
  • Some experience in analyst roles (e.g., from consulting, advisory, corporate finance, or M&A)
  • Strong Excel skills for hands-on financial modeling and investment calculations
  • Solid foundation in Corporate Finance principles and valuation methods
  • Strong quantitative abilities and comfort working with complex data
  • Ability to present and explain financial findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)

It is meritorious if you have

  • Good knowledge of Finnish or Swedish
  • Familiarity with the energy industry or large-scale infrastructure investments
  • Background in Corporate Finance studies
  • Experience with asset or portfolio optimization analysis
