AI Transformation Program Manager Location: Stockholm, Sweden Duration: 10 Months Rate: Market Rate Role Overview We are looking for an experienced AI Transformation Program Manager to lead the establishment of a new AI capability within a major energy organisation. This individual will be responsible for defining the operating framework, governance model, and delivery approach required to accelerate AI adoption across engineering, project execution, operational activities, and knowledge management functions. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with strong programme execution skills and will play a key role in driving organisation-wide AI initiatives from concept through to business implementation. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement an AI Centre of Excellence, including governance structures, operating principles, performance measures, and engagement models.
• Develop a long-term AI strategy and execution roadmap aligned to business priorities and operational objectives.
• Identify, assess, and prioritise AI opportunities across engineering, project delivery, asset management, operations, and support functions.
• Build business cases and establish delivery frameworks to transform AI concepts into scalable operational solutions.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across engineering, digital, IT, and business teams to ensure alignment and successful adoption.
• Lead change management activities to increase awareness, engagement, and trust in AI-enabled processes and solutions.
• Establish programme governance, reporting frameworks, risk management practices, and value-tracking mechanisms.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, implementation partners, research organisations, and internal delivery teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of AI initiatives while ensuring compliance with organisational, security, and data governance requirements.

Required Experience

• Proven experience leading complex transformation programmes or strategic portfolios within the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, data-driven transformation, and related technologies.
• Experience building new functions, operating models, Centres of Excellence, or governance frameworks from the ground up.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with senior business leaders, technical teams, and external partners.
• Strong programme governance, planning, budgeting, and execution capabilities.
• Experience translating business requirements into structured transformation initiatives and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in multinational and matrix organisations.

Mandatory Requirement

• Previous experience within the Energy sector is essential.
