What You'll Do We are looking for AI Tech Architects who will collaborate with colleagues from BCG Platinion and/or the Boston Consulting Group on local and international client projects! We develop superior IT strategies, concepts, and solutions actively and on site, applying our technical know-how, experience in IT projects, and analytical and conceptual skills. What You'll Bring You can help us make a difference if you

• Have a degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, informatics, engineering, or another technology-intensive field including business degrees majoring in any of the mentioned topics or with relevant industry experience
• Have approx. two years of relevant experience in software development, data/AI engineering, cloud/platform engineering, solution architecture, or IT consulting, in either part- or full time roles
• Bring hands-on software development or engineering experience and are comfortable working with code, APIs, data, and modern development environments
• Understand modern software and cloud architecture concepts, such as APIs and microservices, containerization, cloud-native development, data architectures, CI/CD, and DevOps
• Have hands-on experience with AI, machine learning, or GenAI solutions and understand key concepts behind LLM-based applications; experience with areas such as RAG, AI agents, model integration, MLOps/LLMOps, or AI evaluation is a plus
• Have broad technical expertise and a strong interest in emerging technology trends across AI, cloud, data, software, and digital platforms
• Enjoy going deep into technology, understanding how systems work, and translating complex technical challenges into pragmatic solutions
• Feel particularly comfortable in interdisciplinary teams and global contexts and are willing to travel
• Are excellent at understanding and communicating complex topics in English

Who You'll Work With Shape the world of tomorrow

• Analyze existing technology landscapes and design scalable target, solution, and platform architectures across applications, data, cloud, integration, and AI
• Design modern AI and GenAI solutions, including LLM- and agent-based applications, retrieval and knowledge architectures, model and tool integration, and the data and platform components required to operate them at scale
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and evaluate architectural trade-offs across performance, scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, cost, and vendor choices
• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to test technical feasibility, evaluate technologies, and demonstrate how emerging technologies can solve real client problems
• Help clients move AI solutions from experimentation to production by designing appropriate engineering practices and platform capabilities, including APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps/LLMOps, observability, testing, and lifecycle management
• Design secure and responsible technology solutions, considering topics such as data protection, access control, AI governance, model risk, and cyber resilience from the outset

Additional info Who You'll Work With You will work as part of interdisciplinary BCG and BCG Platinion teams combining business, industry, technology, data, and AI expertise. Depending on the project, you may design an enterprise AI platform, architect an agentic solution, prototype a GenAI application, modernize a legacy technology landscape, define a cloud and data architecture, or provide the technical backbone for a large-scale digital transformation.
