What you'll do

We are looking for an AI Product Engineer who can take an idea from the first customer conversation to a live AI product used by finance platforms around the world – and stay with it after go-live. You will sit close to the market, close to our customers and close to the code. This is a central role with real influence on where Kaunt goes next, in a market that moves fast. What you build gets sold – to new partners and to the ones we already have. The role You will own new products at Kaunt from end to end: the first idea, the conversations that tell us whether the market wants it, the build, the go-live – and the life of the product after that. You learn everything about a product before it goes live, so you follow it in production too. Our customers are platforms – ERP, AP automation and procurement systems that bring Kaunt to their own users. So you work in two layers, with the partner and with their customers, and what you build has to work for the next partner too, not just the first one. You work directly with our CTO and lead engineers, and with the product teams at our partners. You will not be handed a backlog. You will be handed a problem, a market and the people who can help you solve it. The kind of problems you could work on

  • Catching errors and anomalies in invoice flows before anything is booked
  • Reading remittance advice and matching payments to the right invoices
  • Matching invoices against purchase orders, contracts and deliveries
  • Agents that handle the complex cases a single model cannot solve on its own
  • The problem nobody has solved yet – the one you hear about from a partner’s customers

What you will be doing

  • Discover: turn ideas into concrete use cases – and kill the ones that do not hold up
  • Validate and scope: test demand with partners and their customers on real data, and decide with our lead engineers what the product does and what it is worth
  • Build: take it from prototype to production with AI coding tools, inside the guardrails our lead engineers set for platform, security and infrastructure
  • Measure: build evals and know whether a change made the product better or worse
  • Launch: run the dialogue with international partners through design, pilot and go-live
  • Follow it after launch: accuracy, adoption, issues – and bring what you learn back into the product and the next rollout

How you build We are an AI-first company. AI writes the code here – Claude Code and similar tools are how we work, not an add-on. But you own every line you ship. You can explain why it is built that way, what breaks it, and how you would know.

  • You read, review and debug code you did not type yourself, and you spot when AI output is wrong even when it looks right
  • You understand how LLMs behave – prompting, structured output, failure modes – well enough to build on them responsibly. Hands-on experience shipping LLM-based features is a plus
  • You design APIs that other platforms integrate with, and you care about what happens when a partner calls them with unexpected data
  • You are comfortable with messy real-world data and with Python or SQL to make sense of it
  • You write code others can take over: tested, readable, reviewed

Who you are

  • You would rather move early than wait for permission, and you enjoy being in front of customers rather than behind a spec
  • You learn new domains fast and you are comfortable running a conversation in English – with a product lead at an international platform as well as with the accountant who uses it

We do not care about years or titles. We care about what you have built and whether you can stand behind it. Nice to have None of this is required. If you happen to bring some of it, great – if not, you will pick it up here:

  • Some insight into fintech, finance or ERP – invoices, accounting, procurement, accounts payable
  • Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
  • Experience with C#/.NET

What we offer

  • A central role in a profitable, fast-growing AI company, where you shape the products we take to market
  • An international role: direct contact with platforms and their customers across Europe, North America and Australia
  • Room to work with AI product development at the edge of a market that is changing every month
  • Short decision paths, no layers to get through
  • A flexible setup: full time or part time, in Aarhus, Copenhagen or remote in Denmark. If remote, you spend regular periods on-site with the team in Denmark.

How to apply You must already have the right to work in the EU/EEA. Send your CV and a few lines about something you have built to jobs@kaunt.com – with a link if you can. No long cover letter needed. Tell us what you made, why it mattered, and what you would like to build at Kaunt. In the process, expect to walk us through something you have built – including the parts AI wrote – and to solve a short practical case on real-world finance data. We review applications as they come in and hire as soon as we meet the right person. About Kaunt Kaunt is a Danish AI company that automates finance processes. We do not sell to end customers. We deliver our AI white-label through a REST API, embedded directly into ERP, AP automation and procurement platforms, which then bring it to their own customers. Multiple large platforms run on Kaunt today, in Europe, the US and Canada, with Australia going live this quarter. We are growing fast and we are profitable. We are ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certified, ISAE 3402 Type II audited, and we won the AI category at the Nordic Fintech Awards 2025.
