AI Platform Lead (Azure & GenAI) - Freelance - Copenhagen

Global Enterprise Partners is supporting a major fashion client in the search for an AI Platform Engineering Lead. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, focusing on the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise-scale AI platforms. Requirements:

• Strong experience in AI/ML platform engineering and cloud-native architectures,
• Expert-level Python backend development skills,
• Hands-on with Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure App Services,
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNet, NSG, private endpoints, DNS, and network security),
• Experience building and supporting LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and AI services,
• Experience with Databricks, MLflow, and MLOps best practices,
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, reliability, and platform security,
• Experience with PostgreSQL and enterprise AI governance frameworks,
• Technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical direction of the AI platform and support engineering best practices,
• Design and deliver scalable AI platform services and infrastructure,
• Define standards for Terraform, cloud architecture, and platform security,
• Support AI solutions involving LLMs, RAG, vector search, and AI integrations,
• Drive CI/CD, platform reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence,
• Oversee ML platform governance (+Databricks and MLflow),
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex engineering challenges,
