AI Lead

AI Lead Location: Stockholm Working model: Hybrid Contract: Permanent About the role As AI Lead, you will own the company’s AI product and architecture strategy. You will find where AI can create real business value, build the platform and infrastructure to support it, and help engineering teams build and deploy AI solutions safely. The role is hands-on. You will write production code, build prototypes and evaluate new technologies. You will also work with Product, Engineering, Data, Security and executive stakeholders and influence the long-term AI roadmap. What you will do

• Design and build the company’s AI platform, including model routing, agentic systems, AI protocols and developer tooling
• Make build-versus-buy decisions on AI products, platforms and partnerships
• Set up an AI-ready data foundation covering data quality, indexing, embeddings, semantic search and context management
• Work with Product and Engineering to choose and deliver high-value AI initiatives
• Assess foundation models, open-source AI, multimodal systems, knowledge graphs, agent frameworks and AI infrastructure
• Define technical standards, reusable architectures and best practices for engineering teams across the company

What you will bring

• 7+ years in software engineering and/or AI engineering
• A strong backend engineering background
• Experience with data platforms and data engineering concepts
• Experience with cloud-native technologies
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems
• A strong interest in AI and a habit of keeping up with it

Experience with several of the following is highly desirable: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, vector databases, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, RAG, agentic AI, MCP, context engineering, knowledge graphs, GraphRAG, event-driven architectures. You will probably enjoy this role if you
