About the role

• Finance functions are under increasing pressure to deliver faster reporting, better forecasting, stronger financial control and more valuable business insights—while reducing costs and manual work.
• AI and automation offer significant opportunities, but the challenge is knowing where to apply them and how to make them work in practice.
• As an AI & Finance Transformation Consultant, you will work with finance leaders and business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, develop solutions and support implementation.
• Your work may involve automating repetitive finance processes, improving management reporting, developing AI-enabled analytical tools or redesigning workflows to create a more efficient finance function.
• You will combine business understanding, analytical thinking and practical technology skills to deliver measurable improvements.

What you will do

• Analyse finance processes, reporting structures, systems and data flows to identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify and prioritise use cases for AI, Generative AI, AI agents and process automation.
• Help redesign finance processes to reduce manual work, improve efficiency and strengthen controls.
• Develop or support dashboards, analytical models, automation workflows and AI-enabled prototypes.
• Work with finance data to improve reporting, forecasting, variance analysis and management insights.
• Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions in collaboration with finance and IT teams.
• Support implementation, stakeholder engagement and the adoption of new ways of working.
• Develop business cases and transformation roadmaps, demonstrating the value of proposed improvements.

Projects may cover accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial close, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, management reporting and performance management. What we are looking for You combine an understanding of finance processes with an interest in using technology to solve business problems. You do not necessarily need to be a specialist in every technology listed below. We are interested in candidates who can demonstrate practical capability and a willingness to develop their expertise. Your experience and skills

• Experience in finance transformation, accounting, controlling, FP&A, business consulting, analytics, automation or a related field.
• Good understanding of finance processes and the challenges faced by finance teams.
• Practical exposure to AI, Generative AI or automation in a business context.
• Ability to identify opportunities where technology can improve productivity, analysis or decision-making.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting or process improvement.
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, advanced Excel, SQL, Python, Power Automate or UiPath.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and practical solutions.

Experience with ERP systems, data integration, AI agents, machine learning or cloud-based finance platforms is an advantage. A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional qualifications and practical experience will also be considered. Your approach You are curious about what technology can achieve, but you remain focused on business outcomes.
