AI Engineer Oslo | Hybrid | Permanent We're partnering with an innovative technology company in Oslo that is investing heavily in AI and intelligent automation. As part of their continued growth, they're looking for an AI Engineer to help design, build, and scale next-generation AI solutions that deliver measurable business impact. This is an opportunity to work on projects that go beyond simple chatbot implementations, developing intelligent systems capable of reasoning, decision-making, and interacting with complex business environments. What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and developing AI-powered applications using modern Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Building autonomous and semi-autonomous agent solutions for real-world business use cases
• Developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions that combine AI models with internal knowledge sources
• Integrating AI systems with APIs, databases, and enterprise platforms
• Evaluating, testing, and improving model performance through prompt engineering and experimentation
• Implementing monitoring, governance, and security best practices for AI systems
• Collaborating with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI can create value
• Contributing to technical strategy and helping shape the organisation's AI capabilities

What We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering background with professional experience in Python
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or similar technologies
• Experience building AI applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, or equivalent
• Understanding of RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and cloud services
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platforms
• Knowledge of AI evaluation, monitoring, and production deployment practices
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for staying current with emerging AI technologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-agent systems
• Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Experience with AgentOps, LLMOps, or MLOps
• Exposure to self-hosted or open-source models
• Experience working with data engineering or machine learning workflows
• Norwegian language skills
