AI Designer

We are currently looking for an AI Designer to join our AI team in Finland. At Solita's Data & AI community, we support our customers throughout their AI journey, from early ideation to enterprise-wide AI adoption and scaling. Working in multidisciplinary teams, we develop solutions that leverage AI, machine learning and analytics to improve decision-making, enhance services, streamline operations, and create new opportunities for growth. Your role in a nutshell As an AI Designer, you help our customers identify, design, and implement AI-powered solutions that create sustainable and meaningful value for both businesses and end-users. You combine business understanding, human-centered and AI expertise to help organizations solve complex challenges, redesign ways of working, and successfully adopt AI-powered solutions. The solutions may involve Generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, predictive analytics, optimization, recommendation systems, or other data-driven technologies. You work closely with AI/ML Architects, AI/ML Engineers, Data Scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders. Your role is to help teams focus on the right problems, design useful solutions, and create measurable outcomes for users and organizations. Depending on the engagement, you may help customers identify and prioritize AI opportunities, redesign business processes, facilitate strategic discussions, shape AI roadmaps, support adoption and transformation initiatives, or contribute to the design of AI-enabled services and products. We will discuss the exact scope and focus of your role based on your experience, skills, and interests. Depending on your level of experience and responsibility, your monthly salary will range from 5500 € to 6500 €. In practice, your work includes:

• Facilitating AI opportunity discovery, prioritization and ideation workshops.
• Understanding customer processes, users, and business goals.
• Supporting the development of AI strategies, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives.
• Designing future workflows where people and AI collaborate effectively.
• Creating concepts, service blueprints, journey maps, prototypes, and experiments.
• Defining requirements, success criteria and business outcomes for AI solutions.
• Working closely with AI/ML Architects, AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Facilitating alignment and decision-making across business stakeholders, users, and technical teams regarding AI investments and priorities.
• Supporting AI adoption, organizational change and capability development.
• Contributing to Solita's methods, offerings and thought leadership related to AI and analytics.

What helps you succeed in this role:

• Proven experience in service design, business design, strategic design, innovation, business consulting, or a related field.
• A systems-thinking mindset and the ability to connect business and user needs as well as technological possibilities.
• Experience designing, developing, and implementing AI-powered, data-driven and digital solutions that improve business outcomes and user experiences.
• Good understanding of modern AI, machine learning, analytics, and data science, including both their capabilities and limitations.
• Understanding business models, business design, and service design, combined with an appreciation for the importance of human insight.
• Understanding responsible and trustworthy AI principles, including AI governance considerations, and the ability to incorporate them into the design and adoption of AI solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working with AI development teams.
• Strong facilitation skills and the ability to guide diverse stakeholder groups toward shared understanding and decisions.
• Ability to work in a consultative role and understand both customer context and business objectives.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and helping teams move from ideas to action.
• Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Fluent working proficiency in English. Finnish is seen as an advantage because some of our projects require knowledge of this language.
